
Rev. Dr. Dennis Lee, Jr.
Rev. Dennis Lee, Jr. has been the Pastor of the Hopewell Baptist Church since 1988. A native of
Buffalo, New York. Educated in the Buffalo Public School System. A graduate of Erie
Community College with an Associate Degree in Labor Studies. Received his religious training
and diploma from the former Baptist Bible College of WNY and a diploma in Pastoral Studies
from Houghton College, Buffalo Campus, and an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from
St. Thomas Christian College, Jacksonville, Florida.
Pastor Lee is a certified instructor of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. Past President
of the Baptist Ministers’ Conference of WNY. Currently serves as Moderator of the Great Lakes
Baptist Association, and a Board Member of National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. In addition,
Pastor Lee serves as a Volunteer Faculty Clinical Instructor for the Health In The Neighborhood
Course at the UB Jacob School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Pastor Lee also serves on
several boards: Western New York Digital Equity Coalition. The Steering Committee of the
Community Health Equity Research Institute and also on the City of Buffalo Examining Board
of Electricians.
Pastor Lee is a Retiree of the National Grid Utility Corporation where he was employed for 38
years, 1967 to 2006. Pastor Lee is also a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Army from
1969 to 1971.
Pastor Lee is married to Paulette F. Lee. He is the father of four and grandfather of seven.
Foremost, Pastor Lee is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who like the Apostle Paul, have
not yet arrived, but is still pressing “toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in
Christ Jesus.
