The Ushers Ministry role is an essential component of church hospitality. Ushers provide a welcoming atmosphere for worshippers. The duties of the ushers are to greet and to encourage everyone’s participation in the service. We are the gatekeepers, and as gatekeepers we must ensure that everyone who enters our gates feels welcome welcomed and at home.

The Ushers Ministry role is an essential component of church hospitality. Ushers provide a
welcoming atmosphere for worshippers. The duties of the ushers are to greet and to
encourage everyone’s participation in the service. A warm welcome at the church door can do
wonders for people who feel alone, hurt and isolated.
Ushers are to study their bibles diligently, attend regular meetings to promote a better
understanding and learn to serve and strengthen our lives as Christians. Ushers must always
reflect the warmth and love of Christ Himself.
In summary, as gatekeepers we must ensure that everyone who enters our gates feel
welcomed and at home.
